Realizing the value that business travel has to their careers and companies, business travelers are ready to travel again. According to the 2023 SAP Concur Global Business Travel Survey , there are several ‘what ifs’ and ‘stills to think about’ when it comes to business travel safety and flexibility, leading travel managers to consider costs, employee safety and security obligations, and more . The burden of managing other issues is increasing. 

• Ready to travel , but concerned : 98% of business travelers intend to travel in the next 12 months, but 91% expect to be able to deviate from company policy due to safety or other concerns . In fact, 53% have changed accommodation in the last year because they felt unsafe. 
• Travel managers under stress : 47% believe their job stress has increased, and 99% expect their role to become more difficult in the coming year . Their challenges include increasing costs (41%), ensuring the safety of business travelers (38%), and a lack of timely information needed to perform daily tasks, as cited by a whopping 98%.
